Microsoft Office 2013 Professional Plus

Microsoft Office 2013 (Office 15) was unveiled officially on Monday by CEO Steve Ballmer at a conference in San Francisco.  It was revealed it is only compatible with PCs, tablets or laptops which are running either Windows 7 or Windows 8.

Systems which run Vista, XP or older versions of Windows will not be able to run the software.  This implies that nearly half of all computers running Windows will need an upgrade to get Office 2013.  This is a move by Microsoft to probably entice users to get Windows 8.  Though most organizations are probably still working on getting to Windows 7 and Office 2010.

Microsoft has released a preview version of Office 2013 which is available for download.  MSDN users click here.
Full details on the system requirement details for Office 2013 can be found here.  The requirements for the Office 2013 Customer Preview are applicable to the final version which as of now doesn't have an official release date yet.  Operating systems are limited to Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows Server 2008 R2 and Windows Server 2012.
Systems will need a CPU that is at least 1 GHz, have 1 GB of RAM on 32-bit systems or 2 GB for 64-bit hardware.  3 GB of disk space is required and a DirectX 10 compatible video card for hardware acceleration.
Of the largest features include the touch capabilities and the cloud integration with SkyDrive and Office 365
